Garden of Dreams and the Rangers Spread Holiday Cheer
In partnership with the New York Rangers, Garden of Dreams hosted a special holiday meal delivery for the families at Hospitality House Staten Island, a center affiliated with Garden of Dreams partner Department of Homeless Services.
Current Rangers players packaged the meals, while players’ wives and girlfriends created holiday gift bags. Families filtered through fun, holiday-themed stations at the center while picking up their dinners and gift bags. Stations included a photo booth, a hot chocolate stand, and a gingerbread house decoration kit. Each person received a holiday gift bag consisting of a Rangers blanket, beanie, and socks. Although the current players couldn’t be at the center to hand out the meals, they provided video messages for the families, wishing them a happy and healthy holiday season. Star Rangers alumni, Brian Mullen, was there to represent the team and help Garden of Dreams and Rangers staff hand out the meals. The night was incredibly impactful, with 150 meals donated to the center while creating a safe and joyful experience.
