Friday, December 2nd was a day to remember for not just one, but three very joyful reasons.
That day marked the annual Garden of Dreams and New York Knicks "Day of Cheer," which saw three simultaneous events spread plenty of smiles.
First, over at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, young patients received a surprise gift delivery - not from Santa, but from current Knicks player Ryan Arcidiacono! It was the perfect way to spread some cheer and kick off the day.

On December 6th, 2022, we took the only next step we could think of to bring even more smiles to a Garden of Dreams event - we added puppies to the mix!

TWO FAMILIES, ONE LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE
When Garden of Dreams young person Fiona arrived at Jr. Knicks basketball camp this summer, she wasn't sure what to expect. Without much previous basketball experience, she was excited to try something new, but she did not quite know how it would affect the use of her prosthetic left leg.
By the end of camp, not only had Fiona enjoyed a fun-filled week, but she had won the Dave DeBusschere award for leadership on and off the court. Even more importantly, she joined the larger Garden of Dreams family, which is a community that surrounds you for a lifetime.
Knicks and Garden of Dreams Kick Off Thanksgiving At Children’s Village
On Wednesday, November 23rd - the day before Thanksgiving 2022 - a very special holiday feast took place.
At Garden of Dreams partner site Children's Village, hundreds of excited young people lined up for their own Thanksgiving dinner specially delivered by Garden of Dreams and the New York Knicks, and personally handed to them by two current players.
In total, 250 meals from local business Pik Nik BBQ made their way to the youth at Children's Village, many of whom do not have a home outside of that campus where they spend the holidays.

New York Knicks and Garden of Dreams Serve Up Holiday Cheer at the Annual Holiday Dinner 2022
On November 10th, 2022, the holidays came early for over 200 youth and families from Garden of Dreams partner, Department of Homeless Services.
These families arrived at TAO Downtown for the ultimate night out, enjoying a 360 photobooth, facepainting, family games, and of course, delicious hot meals served up by current Knicks players, alumni, and team staff!
