Buddy the Elf Rice Krispie Sculpture

Garden of Dreams children from the Department of Homeless Services helped unveil a 10-Foot tall edible Buddy the Elf sculpture in honor of "Elf: The Musical" coming to the Theater at MSG in December. After meeting Buddy the Elf, our Garden of Dreams children and Buddy enjoyed tasting the sweet rice krispie holiday treat made by the Institute for Culinary Education.

On October 11th, the New York Rangers and Garden of Dreams hosted 500 kids for a 'Show Kids New York' event at LIFE: The Place to Be in Westchester. Rangers players Brendan Smith and Steven Kampfer along with alumni Tom Laidlaw and Ron Greschner joined in on the fun as well. There were tons of activities for the children and players to participate in, including laser tag, gaga pit, bowling, photo booths, and inflatable bouncy houses.

Knicks Halloween Event at Lyndhurst Mansion
On October 26th, the New York Knicks and Garden of Dreams hosted 50 children from Garden of Dreams partner organization SCAN, Supporting Children’s Advocacy Network, at the Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, New York. When they arrived, the kids had a pizza party where they played the board game, Clue, dressed up in Halloween costumes, and danced with their friends. The kids were then surprised by Knicks player Ramon Sessions and Knicks alum Larry Johnson, who accompanied the children on the tour of the hauntedmansion. Hayden’s Dream Come True
Garden of Dreams child Hayden, from Garden of Dreams partner Hackensack University Medical Center, loves to cheer on his favorite football team, the New York Giants, and his favorite player Jason-Pierre Paul. This week, Hayden was in for the ultimate surprise when he arrived at the Giants Training Center and became an honorary member of the team. Hayden's day kicked off with a tour of the facility, meeting the coach and his teammates, and then watching practice. Hayden even shared his special celebration dance with JPP, who kept his promise and did Hayden's dance after his first sack in Sunday's game!
