Knicks and Garden of Dreams Thanksgiving Dinner
The New York Knicks and the Garden of Dreams Foundation hosted 250 children and families from the New York City Department of Homeless Services for a Thanksgiving Dinner celebration. New York Knicks players Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose, Brandon Jennings, Courtney Lee, Joakim Noah, Willy Hernangomez, and Mindaugas Kuzminskas were on-hand serving Thanksgiving dinner. Hosted by Talent Harris and Damaris Lewis, the Thanksgiving Dinner celebration also included pop-a-shots, cookie decorating, and dance party to conclude the night!

New York Rangers players Brady Skjei, Josh Jooris, and Pavel Buchnevich joined the festivities, which included a life size light bright, cookie decorating, photo booth, and corn hole.

After the festivities, Garden of Dreams received a five hundred ticket donation for our children to see Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical at the Theater at MSG in December!

One hundred Garden of Dreams girls were invited to participate in the New York Liberty Girls Empowerment Series presented by Chase! Before hitting the court to practice their basketball skills, the girls had the opportunity to speak with inspirational women including NYL legends Kym Hampton and Teresa Weatherspoon, MSG Networks' Rebecca Haarlow, Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins and Garden of Dreams Advisory Board member Damaris Lewis.
