Performing before Opening Night of the Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes, Garden of Dreams Talent Show alum Zoe, from partner organization Hospital for Special Surgery, enchanted the crowd at Radio City Music Hall with her rendition of "O Holy Night."

As part of the Rangers 'Show Kids New York' program, Garden of Dreams and the New York Rangers brought 100 children from Garden of Dreams partner organization, Harlem Dowling, to see the One World Observatory with current Rangers players Ondrej Pavelec and Steven Kampfer. Journeying to the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, our Garden of Dreams children along with Pavelec and Kampfer enjoyed watching the sunset over New York City from an incredible, panoramic view.

Garden of Dreams teen Taylor, from Cohen Children’s Medical Center on Long Island, has been actively involved with the Foundation since meeting Rangers legend Adam Graves while receiving treatment in the hospital in 2011.  Taylor, who is  15 years old, currently battles a very rare illness which requires constant trials and specialized chemo treatments to help doctors assess possible treatments. Taylor was introduced to Garden of Dreams through a hospital visit with Rangers legend Adam Graves at Cohen Children’s Medical Center. To kickoff the Season of Giving, the New York Knicks and Garden of Dreams hosted an after-school pizza party for Garden of Dreams children and families from Children's Aid. Knicks players Michael Beasley, Jarrett Jack, and Doug McDermott helped distribute Thanksgiving turkeys to all of the families! 

This month, Garden of Dreams and the New York Rangers teamed up to bring 100 children from partner organization, Children's Aid, to the Museum of Mathematics. With Rangers players Jesper Fast and Boo Nieves, our Garden of Dreams children learned all about math through dynamic exhibits and programs, some of which were customized to incorporate hockey! 

Garden of Dreams children from the Department of Homeless Services helped unveil a 10-Foot tall edible Buddy the Elf sculpture in honor of "Elf: The Musical" coming to the Theater at MSG in December. After meeting Buddy the Elf, our Garden of Dreams children and Buddy enjoyed tasting the sweet rice krispie holiday treat made by the Institute for Culinary Education. 

The Knicks City Dancers visited Garden of Dreams children and teens from NYU Rusk and then joined the kids for a "boo-tiful" Halloween Party that night, which included making Halloween-themed crafts, cookies, and costumes!

On October 11^th, the New York Rangers and Garden of Dreams hosted 500 kids for a 'Show Kids New York' event at LIFE: The Place to Be in Westchester. Rangers players Brendan Smith and Steven Kampfer along with alumni Tom Laidlaw and Ron Greschner joined in on the fun as well.  There were tons of activities for the children and players to participate in, including laser tag, gaga pit, bowling, photo booths, and inflatable bouncy houses.

On October 26^th, the New York Knicks and Garden of Dreams hosted 50 children from Garden of Dreams partner organization SCAN, Supporting Children’s Advocacy Network, at the Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, New York. When they arrived, the kids had a pizza party where they played the board game, Clue, dressed up in Halloween costumes, and danced with their friends. The kids were then surprised by Knicks player Ramon Sessions and Knicks alum Larry Johnson, who accompanied the children on the tour of the hauntedmansion.  Based off the board game Clue, the kids were tasked with solving a fictitious murder mystery, where each room had a different suspect.  The kids were... Garden of Dreams child Hayden, from Garden of Dreams partner Hackensack University Medical Center, loves to cheer on his favorite football team, the New York Giants, and his favorite player Jason-Pierre Paul. This week, Hayden was in for the ultimate surprise when he arrived at the Giants Training Center and became an honorary member of the team. Hayden's day kicked off with a tour of the facility, meeting the coach and his teammates, and then watching practice. Hayden even shared his special celebration dance with JPP, who kept his promise and did Hayden's dance after his first sack in Sunday's game!
