2018 Garden of Dreams Night at Liberty Game
The New York Liberty welcomed over 50 Garden of Dreams children and their families to Garden of Dreams Night on Wednesday, June 13. The Westchester County Center was filled with talented performers, star players, and a lively fan base that packed the stands.
The night began with two primetime performances by GDF Talent Show stars, Giana and Brianna, each singing their favorite songs “Superwoman” by Alicia Keys and “Dynamite” by China Anne McClain. Andrew, who also took the stage at Radio City for this year’s Talent Show, sang the National Anthem with the help from some of our youngest Liberty fans who participated as Anthem buddies with the Liberty players.
The Liberty hosted several of our youth for special experiences as honorary Liberty player (Julianna), honorary coach (Skyla), and PA announcer (Matthew). The girls’ basketball champions from our partner, Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation, packed the bench for extra support during warm-ups and took part in other pregame ceremonies, including the fan tunnel. Concluding a truly memorable GDF Night were halftime acts by Royal Finesse, Harlem PAL Showstoppers, and Xtraordinary Explosives.
There’s nothing better than having our Garden of Dreams children bring their talents and spirit to the Liberty game!
