Daryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels Visits the Fuse Rocks the Classroom Set

On Thursday, November 12, Daryl McDaniels from the legendary hip-hop group DMC stopped by the set of Fuse Rocks the Classroom: No. 1 Countdown to visit and to be interviewed by the students from Garden of Dreams partner organization, WHEDCo. Twelve teens from WHEDCo participated in the Fall 2009 installment of the Fuse Rocks the Classroom program to create, produce, and star in their very own music video countdown show.
After a special meet and greet, it was time for Daryl to hit the set to be interviewed as part of the teens’ show. The students prepared questions for Daryl to find out the answers to their burning questions, such as how it feels to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, what is his view on hip-hop evolution and how he was motivated to start his own non-profit organization benefitting foster children.
Daryl’s enthusiasm and passion resonated in each teen throughout the interview and the entirety of the making of their Fuse Rocks the Classroom: No. 1 Countdown.
