On May 22, Garden of Dreams and The Madison Square Garden Company hosted the second annual Children’s Aid Society Corporate Workplace Career Panel for employees to share a wealth of knowledge, experience and motivation with 30 teens participating in the program.
The Corporate Workplace Program was created to enhance the work done at Garden of Dreams partner organization, Children’s Aid Society, in career readiness for teens residing in transitional housing. The program includes a series of corporate site workshops for selected high school junior and seniors to learn about corporate culture, networking, public speaking, interviewing skills and what is expected on the job.
Employees from various divisions of The Madison Square Garden Company shared their work and life experiences to help provide guidance to the teens in pursuing a future career in the sports and entertainment industry. Each employee had the opportunity to speak about his/her professional journey, influences throughout his/her career path and key skills for a successful career. Following the panelist experiences, time was provided for an open Q&A session with the teens.
Thank you to all of The Madison Square Garden Company employees who participated in the Corporate Workplace Career Panel to enrich the lives of Garden of Dreams teens:
