Jared Jeffries' 'Day of Giving' Celebration

On Monday, November 24, the New York Knicks' Jared Jeffries will partner with the Garden of Dreams Foundation for a 'Day of Giving' at the Children's Aid Society's Dunlevy Milbank Center in Harlem.
The day-long event will begin with a food drive and special appearances by Jared Jeffries and Allan Houston. Jeffries and Houston will join 100 day care children from the Phelam Fritz Transitional Family Shelter for breakfast, health and fitness activities, and art projects celebrating Thanksgiving.
Following breakfast, Jeffries and Houston will visit the shelter's pantry and deliver baby items and food.
A Social Service Fair on food and health will begin at 10:00 a.m; Food Bank volunteers and Children's Aid Society staff will provide food services information, conduct Food Stamps pre-screening to low-income families, and host workshops on health, fitness and wellbeing.
Students from the Children's Aid Society's after school program will arrive at 3:00 p.m. and enjoy music by the world famous DJ Hill, the Knicks Groove Truck, and appearances by Knicks players, and the Knicks City Dancers.
Players will join children at an arts & crafts station, a basketball station, a photo station, and a nutrition/food demonstration table.
Knicks players will also assist Jared in bagging donated food, and in distributing over 300 Thanksgiving meals to families from the Children's Aid Society.
